TONER COLORS
Printers and copiers fall into two categories: monochrome (black & white) and color. Color copying and printing uses three colors plus black. Additional information below:
> Black is actually a shade which is void of all color. It is the most common Toner used in monochrome printers and copiers, as well as all full color machines. Black Toner is abbreviated by the letter K
> Cyan Toner is often referred to as Blue. It is used in color printers and copiers and is abbreviated by the letter C
>Magenta Toner is often referred to as Red. It is used in color printers and copiers and is abbreviated by the letter M
>Yellow Toner is used in color printers and copiers and is abbreviated by the letter Y
TONER PAGE YIELD
Toner page yield refers to an approximate amount of pages a toner or inkjet cartridge can print. The industry standard for this calculation is based on 5% coverage of toner per page. This coverage will consist of approximately two paragraphs of normal font letters per page. Pages with additional text or ones that contain pictures will use more toner when printed.
